It’s the final countdown to the Final Four. Can you feel the Madness? This weekend the Final Four teams in the NCAA tournament will face off in San Antonio, TX. Here’s everything you need to know about the last three games of March Madness 2018!
Unsurprisingly two number 1 seeds have made it to the semi-finals. The East’s Villanova will take on the Midwest’s Kansas on Saturday night. However, they might be outshone by the first game of the weekend: Michigan vs. Loyola Chicago. Entering the tournament as the South’s 11 seed, Loyola is the Cinderella story of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, and the team has won America’s hearts.
This is the school’s first trip to the Final Four in over 50 years. Two of Loyola’s starters, Ben Richardson and Clayton Cluster, have been playing basketball together since the third grade, winning their first championship together at age 10! Furthermore, the team has the most adorable and spirited courtside fan – a 98-year-old nun. Sister Jean, Loyola’s team chaplain, has not only lifted the spirits of the players, but has also become the tournament’s biggest celebrity! After garnering attention on national television, retailers are selling out of Loyola shirts, socks, and koozies that feature her face. Over 10,000 Sister Jean bobble heads have been sold by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame, breaking the record set by Clemson’s national championship bobble head by three times! Who else is excited to see how far Loyola will go?
We all love an underdog story, but no matter who ends up in Monday’s championship game, we got a real jam goin’ down. To watch the Madness in style, shop our ‘Basketball’ and ‘Basketball Sneaker’ pins at ShopKingPins.com & LIDS.COM!
